Practical Yoga – Roe

The focus of this class is to learn the poses.  The teacher walks you through the steps to get into the pose and then offers modifications and verbal adjustments.  We move at a slower pace, allowing time for self-discovery in the pose.  Learning how these poses work for your body, is essential to a personal yoga practice.  We also remind you of the importance of breath work throughout the class which increases the benefits of the poses.  This class, as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can effect your life.

Vinyasa Flow- Meg

Creative, faster paced flow of postures, creating heat in the body. Some experienced suggested.  This class, as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can affect your life.

Alignment Based Yoga –  Albert

My classes approach slow-flow Vinyasa with a Classical set of mind.  This means that there will be dynamic movement and the “Vinyasa” sequence of postures and flow, but all in the service of meditation, acceptance, and healing. I pay a lot of attention to detail.  I believe that there is wisdom embedded within the shapes themselves, and I want to show it to you.  I hope that the care that I take in guiding the class leads you to care for yourself.  This class, as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can affect your life.

Rest and relax- Melissa (March 7)

Take an hour and allow yourself to unwind. We will be in a heated room and asked to do nothing more than to relax and unwind by laying on the floor in safe, propped positions.  This class as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can affect your life.

All Levels Flow – Melissa

Slow flow yoga that is challenging to both strength and flexibility. The all levels class moves slowly through postures, with modifications, sometimes pausing to explore and go deeper. We have fun at the end of each class exploring a “more advanced” posture.  This class, as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can affect your life.

Community Yoga – Roe

This donation based class is good for anyone in the community. It moves slow, stretching and strengthening all parts of your body. Great for beginners and those who may be less mobile.  This class as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can affect your life.

Beginners Begin – Mixed

As the name implies, this class is for absolute beginners. It is run as a 5 week series that repeats. This allows you to join at any time and continue here, or move onto another class. You decide! If you want to see what yoga is all about, this is the class for you.  We will do standing, seated and reclining poses.  While this is a beginner class, it is helpful to be able to get to the ground and back up again to fully benefit from this class.  This class as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can effect your life.

Yoga Plus – Roe

This class was started for a group of women who wanted to learn yoga despite the mistruth that yoga is for young flexible thin people. It has evolved into a warm friendly class that welcomes all body types. We use props to allow more access to the pose. The teacher walks you threw the steps to get into the pose and then offers modifications and verbal adjustments.  We move at a slower pace allowing time for self-discovery in the pose.  This class as all of our classes at the Breathing Room, begin with a short meditation and yoga theory so you have a deeper understanding of how yoga can effect your life.
